Dealer Service Issues
The sales department at our nearest Lexus dealer is incompetent. When shopping for my TX500h F-Sport Performance Luxury, they said that the car could not be configured as I wanted it (pretty much fully loaded with trailer hitch, HUD, etc.), even though I took the on-line generated Lexus configurator sheet directly to them. (And this was NOT the first incident when car shopping/buying there.) So we went over to a larger dealer about 40 minutes away, sat down with the fleet manager, went on-line to THEIR Lexus order desk, customized an upcoming delivery, had it acknowledged by the factory within one hour and three weeks later collected the car, exactly as ordered and with a significant discount under list. This bigger dealership also spent plenty of time with us to configure the car just as we liked it rather than simply turning ALL of the many safety features up to "PARANOID/MAX" as the smaller dealer saleman had done in a previous purchase - leading me to initially want to burn the 2023 RX 350 we purchased there. But that was soon sorted with the help of some YouTube videos posted by Lexus dealers elswhere in the nation.
Oddly enough, the nearby (smaller) Lexus dealership has a very good service department that we've had excellent results with, with a LOT of credit due to the individual service manager we go to. Yet the sales department is manned by morons.
Go figure!
