Exclamation TX 500h Bucks like it's in a Rodeo

Periodically my TX 500h will buck severely. It happens about four to six times a year (I put on 30,000 miles a year). I will approach a red light with a line of cars in front of me. The car will come to a standstill with my foot on the brake. After a moment it will buck multiple times as if the wheels are being engaged (possibly electric motors?). The brakes hold but the chassis will forcefully lurch forward and fall back several times. The movement is literally enough that the passengers will be pushed forward several inches and then fall back to the back of their seats. I at least know what to expect but passengers will panic and feel unsafe. Note that this has been on local roads moving 25 to 35 miles an hour before coming to a stop for the light. I did discuss with the dealership and they were dismissive saying that it was the engine shutting down -- I think they were in a rush and short one staff so they did not want to address anything that would be hard to diagnose.
Anyone have similar experiences with the TX 500h or 500h+?

Thank you

I got the same problem!! I went to dealer they reprogramed the transmission but not good at all, it happened about a week again after that. I booked Dec 29th back there to see what's going on.

Default Solution

I took my car in for a different issue today and mentioned this. They said it was a known issue and they were able to fix it via software.

Default Fixed on second visit

On my first visit the rep at check in says it wasn't a problem. Second visit different rep searched Lexus and saw it is in their system and they adjusted it.

i suspect there is a shortage of techs - wait time to schedule an appointment is five weeks.
