Default Lexus MPG vrs Actual MPG

Occasionally I do the math to check the MPG on my TX350 and it always is a mile or two lower than what the Lexus display shows. This must be a Toyota thing because my previous Highlander did the same thing. Is it the same on other vehicles?

Default 2025 TX500h at 18 MPG

TX500h owners, could you share what your Average MPG is? I bought this model because of the 28 MPG claim spec by Lexus but after driving it around miles (mostly on highway) for the first time on Sunday, all I got was 18 MPG which is A LOT less than what Lexus claims.

I am getting 23 to 24 around town. Interstate trips the number goes up to just over 25. Found using the cruise control helps significantly.
not what Lexus stated but much better than my GX’s

For a larger vehicle it's not that bad. I don't get the MPG listed on my NX also. It's about 4mpg off.

Our TX 350 AWD isa getting 16.5 MPG around town. Car had 1200 miles.....thought it would do better...advertised as 20 mpg city.....maybe we get a settlement down the road like VW... received $450 on my Porsches for inaccurate advertising of mileage estimates....

That is very interesting. We will start doing actual miles and gas fill ups manually. I can't wait to see how the human math and car math compare.

Default Tx500h

I now have 3250 miles on my hybrid TX. I am currently averaging 21 around town and 26 on the highway. I can say on a trip of 190 miles mostly all highway last week I got 28.
