Default Auto braking question

The auto braking feature works well but cuts off when close to car in front. I thought these TX's would auto stop in case of getting too close, it did when I was backing up one day when a person was walking behind me.. I'm too chicken to try it. Anyone have any experience with this?

Auto stop is like the Pavlov's box of cars. It both stops and doesn't stop until you open the box to find out. I also will not know for sure unless I actually need it someday...

I believe if the driver is already touching the brake pedal, the car will just give an audible warning to brake, but it won't take over from you. If the driver is not already engaging the brake, then the auto system will take over and bring the car to a stop.

Agree with JRBPilot, Mine stopped while a car in front of me was in the process of making a right turn. The TX thought my reaction was too slow vs the turning car. If you have any type of pressure on the brake I guess it will eventually takeover not sure.
