So my ordered (May 2024) TX 350 that has been sitting on some lot someplace since June of this year (it was "in transit") has still not arrived to the dealership where I ordered it from (I have a VIN number). Was told Oct, then by Thanksgiving.....well, it's December 11th and still not a peep - I check the VIN number every couple of days on the NHTSA Recall website and see the airbag replacement is still not been performed. As previously mentioned, I'm likely to not accept based on getting sooooooooooo late in the calendar year. I still have heard zero definitive information on when the 2025 TX's will be rolling off the production line - other than Batjs post above indicating delivery in 3-4 weeks.....I continue to seriously doubt 2025 TX's are being produced at this time given no information from Lexus on release date, etc.

Anyone hearing anything on '25 production/availability?????????

Was looking for TX, end of year/month deal. Several Atlanta dealers have 25s coming in January. One only had 25s coming in. Some of the 25s said they are due in between after Christmas and New Year's. Another poster here in Atlanta got his 2024 from Florida recently for $4k off. No dealer markups.

I'd cancel or get them to give you a lot off your order. Otherwise, I'd just get a 2025 if you can wait a few weeks.

'25's are currently 'In Transit' likely hitting dealer floors in mid January.

@GeraldLeroy your problem is that your unit is at the Port and the recall fix will be performed by techs at the port and not at the dealer. If performed by the dealer, they get to charge Lexus the billable labor hours which are approx 2x of the timing to do the actual job. So, Lexus is performing the fix at the port in no order other than say a printed list organized to whatever order they have chosen.

Interesting......still no 2025 release date for the TX and my VERY large local Lexus dealership doesn't even list the the 2024 TX or 2025 TX as an option at this point...in fact there are zero TX's listed on their website in either "build phase" or "in transit"....check it out:

if you need a TX I can connect you with Watertown MA Lexus who sold me my car who was amazing to deal with. I have become good friends with the sales manager at this point and they are fair, friendly, and easy to deal with. Let me know if you need a recommendation or introduction.

Thanks mhoran89,

I feel like I negotiated a very good deal on my '24 TX back in May.....problem is I still don't have it. And if I back out of it I won't negotiate a deal on another '24 - Not with 2025 here in 2 weeks. I am going to insist Lexus make good on a new TX that was expected to be delivered (it was in transit) back in early June.

FYI, my 2025 was produced on December 12th. It is scheduled to be at my dealer on January 9th.

Your best bet at this point is to try and transfer your deal to a '25. Even though the vehicle is unchanged, you'll be gaining 1 production year of equity at this point for a deal that you are happy with. That should be your goal.

you're not wrong. it will "hold" its resale better because it is not the first model year nor is it one year older...

My dealership called me, and I'm now #3 on what would have been the 2024 list, so now I've been moved to the 2025 list. A 2025 is coming in at the end of this month that is not the leather color I want, so he said probably the next couple of months I should be up. TX 350 Luxury AWD.

I too am wondering if it will be a re-badged 2024 or if I should wait until summer. The problem is with the stop sale, I'd be back at the bottom of the now-expanding list.

Update: Just after the holidays I received a call from my Lexus dealer indicating my vehicle (from May '24) had arrived with the airbag issue resolved. I now understand it had been sitting in Boston since June in some lot somewhere. The vehicle looked fine with no noticeable flaws. I sat in it and started it and was asked if I wanted to take it for a drive...I declined. I told the Sales Mgr that my gut was saying "No go" due to the fact it had been sitting for 7 months and I could not take the vehicle even after having him speak to the GM and offering several $K more off the already agreed upon price (several $K below MSRP) from May. Instead I requested the same agreed upon price from the May '24 negotiation for a new '25 but only if I could get it within 30 days - they agreed. And so that's where I am now....the exact vehicle (currently in build phase and expected to be delivered late Jan) with the same options/packages, which will have been built this month and with my original agreed upon May '24 price. I'll not have to worry about the intrusive airbag fix after build not to mention a vehicle sitting sitting sitting in some lot for 7 months, which is NOT good for any vehicle (think tires, battery, electronics, etc). No guarantee there won't be issues with a brand spanking new '25 but it'll have been built recently, be a '25 and have benefitted from the first model year build challenges and issues that no doubt popped up during initial production. So, better resale down the road, benefit of a 2nd year of production, and no first year stigma (to include airbag issue), etc. I don't believe I could have make out much better short of going to another manufacturer all together. Peace!

Good for you. I think that you ended up with the best case scenario for your situation and expectations.

Thx SKGX.....I appreciate this forum and will return frequently to see how others are making out w/ their TX along with any issues to watch for. Of course, I'll pass along any operating experiences I have that might as well.

Good luck with your new 2025 my build. When you say several $k off, what are we talking? 2-3? If you'd be willing to share I'm curious about what your before TTL price was for that 2024?

...original (May '24) on a TX 350 AWD Premium was discounted $2.7K off of MSRP....this was applied to the same vehicle only a newly (currently being) built '25. Some additional saving as the '25 MSRP for the TX has risen by about $600-800, so my deal was about $3500 off of 2025 MSRP. I consider myself a pretty well informed buyer so felt pretty well equipped to negotiate. I had the option of taking another $3,000 (yes $3K for a total discount of nearly $6K off MSRP) off of the 2024 if I had agreed to take it....which I declined. To me $6K was not enough to sway me for the '24 when the vehicle was sitting for 7 months not to mention the intrusive airbag fix. But that's me....I'm sure lot's of folks would have jumped at the further reduced '24.
