Default wipers icing up / streaking

after two months of hard winter driving I am contemplating if the OEM wiper design is the right call or not. they work amazing and rarely streaked in regular rain, however they are a three piece hinged design that has iced up on me before and then the performance was terrible. In the past on other cars I have seemed to have better luck with a one piece beam design that has no hinge points. now after about 7100 miles the driver one is streaking. what is the typical lifespan of these OEM lexus wiper blades?

anyone think the factory wipers are pretty wide and a little distracting?

what have people had luck with replacing wipers with? on my Audi I would always be switching it up but the thin low sitting OEM blades were always the best.
