I think with a car still under warranty.
And the automatic braking system......
I'll be sticking with OEM parts.......
lexus of america cannot deny you a warranty claim because you decided to swap pads within the warranty period. they could tell you to pound sand if you messed up a rotor/caliper and there was something obviously wrong with the pad you installed. the burden of proof is on the dealer/lexus corporate.
this is like having a dealer deny you a warranty claim that your wheel bearing or a strut failed because you put an aftermarket exhaust or air filter on the car. it is not in their best interest, nor is it worth their time to go down that rabbit hole because it won't ever hold up in court. I have seen this many times before.
now if you modify the ECU software and tune the car to increase power output/performance and throw a rod through the side of the block they are going to deny you the fix under warranty without question... but that is not comparing apples to apples.
