Toyota/Lexus TPMS sensors are made by Denso and Pacific. My price search was $92-125 each. I had BH Sens sensors installed by Discount Tire for $37 each. They work well and have a six year warranty.
At the dealer theyre $110 canadian each, 95 and an extra 15 for some adapter thing. Ive used aftermarket sensors before with great success and less than a 1/4 the cost compared to OEM so thats why i was hoping to go that route again.
Costco has aftermarket for about $65 each installed
I got my wheels and tires from 1010 tires and they sell aftermarket universal ones as well but when I talked to them they said Lexus’s can be finicky with non Lexus ones and suggested I get Lexus ones instead.
Not sure about finicky. Seems all the problems are with rebuild sensors and sensors that were not meant to show actual locations.
Exactly why I went with oem. They couldn’t confirm 100% if the aftermarket would work and neither can you. For the sake of 250 savings(as long as you were talking Canadian dollars) that’s not worth the hassle of trying something that might work vs something that will work. If this were Lexus telling me that these cars don’t work well with other brand TPMS then yeah I’d have a hard time believing it but when a national tire chain is talking me out of buying theirs then there’s a reason why.

Leave it to the internet. Ask a question about something you obviously don’t have experience with and then criticize someone that does. Glad you were able to answer your own post.

You replied with “not sure” and “it seems”, can you really blame me for thinking you weren’t sure lol
It’s the internet, don’t take things so personal.
Wasn’t able to get confirmation in time that an AM sensor would work. Even the place I got the wheels and tires from recommended me to get the oem They also carry universal sensors but couldn’t guarantee they would work with the Tx. They probably would’ve but because it was so new to them they didn’t wanna risk it. It was $190 more to go oem compared to their universal ones so not a biggie.
