will they fit?
I recently put Eibach 1" lowering springs on my Sc300, and I want to run a 20" wheel. Last summer I ran a 20x8.5 with stock suspension and had a problem with the rear scrubbing a bit when I would carry passengers. Is there a rim that I could get on there without it scrubbing, now that it's lowered. Maybe a 20x7.5 or 20x8? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Josh

Chances are, the tires were rubbing, not the wheels, so getting narrower wheels won't help much...
What size tire were you running? A 245 is about as narrow as you can get in a 20" tire right now, and the 20x8.5 is well-suited to this width. Part of the issue was the offset of your wheel, and the rubbing may have been exacerbated by the relatively 'tall' tires. For example, even a 245/35-20 is a full inch taller than your OE tires.
Pirelli has just introduced its' P-Zero Nero tire in a 245/30-20. This is much closer to the overall diameter of the original equipment SC tires, this should be popular size for us Lexus guys. (BTW, the matching rear tire is 285/25-20- sweet!). This will help retain the stock gearing of the car, too (as opposed to the taller 245/35-20 and 255/35-20 guys currently run)- this will make for quicker stoplight getaways and reduced speedometer/ododmeter error.
Can you tell us more about what wheel offset and tire size you had? Putting 20s on the first-gen SC is not always a slam-dunk...
Regards,
Bob

It's not the width off the rim you need to be worring about. it's the offset.
I ran (2) different sets of 20's with the Eibach Pro Kit Springs
Binno 20x9 (+38 offset) rub in the front driver side
Lowenhart 20x10 (+41 offset) no problems but I did roll my fenders.
Right now I'm running a 19x10.5 (+43 offset) no problems what so ever.
I'm even running a 19x9.5 in the front, when everyone said it was impossible, I did it!
When your talking about these types of extreme offsets, you'll only find high end manufactures putting out these wheels (mostly 3-piece).
