Default wheel fitment?

Question?

I want to buy a set of 18x8.5 (I think it's by a company called Mondera/wheel type - "the Solaris" ) wheels for my 1998 gs300.
One retailer told me that 18x8.5 may rub and not be appropriate.

Is this true? They have a 17x7.5 in the same, but I want the 18's.

Any comments greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Wigster

8.5" rims won't rub with almost any fitment/offset. Factory 17's are 8".

some retailers are truly clueless....

18x8.5 is fine; make sure you get offsets form +37- +45..would be ideal

Obviously, that retailer has been looking at too many Honda Accords, and is not particularly familiar with GSs.

Basically, those wheels are a waste of your money. Save up and buy something better. Your Lexus deserves it.
