Acorn usually refers to the dome shape of the end of the lug away from the wheel side. If you have a stock OEM lug nut compare it to the acorn lug where it contacts the wheel surface

They will not work properly. There are generally 3 types of lug nut seats. The Acorn/Ball seat type, the conical shape type, and the flat face type. Many OEMs use the Acorn/Ball seat, most aftermarket rims use the conical type, and Lexus happens to use the flat face type which also happens to be lug centric as well. Get the OEM Toyota/Lexus lug nuts for the stock GS rims.
