Wheel Spacers - Safety and Fitment
So I'm doing some research into wheel spacers and I'm getting some mixed reviews in regards to the safety, reliablity, and fitment. So I figure, if I'm looking for them for my vehicle (1993 GS300) I should ask those who actually have some on it already.
I'm currently running a 18x7.5 set of rims, on some eibach springs (which I figure shouldn't effect anything to do with the spacers but figured I put it out there) which have lowered the car about 1.2" or so. I would like it to be as flush as possible, so was thinkin anywhere between a 5-10mm spacers. Any opinions? Brands and where to purchase?
So - all those who have spacers on your car, could you please let me know the stance your vehicle has with the spacers and what size your running? Pics would help as well.
Was looking on ebay and saw these...any comments how well these would work out?
Ebay Item number: 170239936263
Ebay Item number: 200240685774
Thinking about even doing a staggard fitment since my rims have about a 1.5" lip.
Thanks!

I bought a set of rims with too high an offset to clear my brake calipers (03 G35 coupe with Brembo package). I went back and forth on spacers and opted against them. I don't like the idea of putting something between your wheel and the hub, especially if the metal is potentially weak (cheap brand). This will put alot of unneeded stress on the lug nuts, which are not meant to carry the load of the car.
So, IMHO, I would opt against spacers and find a wheel offset the will give you the look/clearance you hope to achieve.

and thats why you use HUBCENTRIC wheel spacers
cheap spacers are useless though.

i bought hubcentric wheel spacers off ebay for my fronts. 15mm, with longer studs. no problems yet, had them on for 5 months now, with a couple 600+ mile trips.
