Default Lug Nuts????????

I currenlty own a 1999 GS300...I recently purchased some IS300 wheels...Will this use the same lug nut or are there special lugs for the IS and GS??? My GS lugs fit just fine, but they don't seem to go as far into the IS wheel as on my GS. Thanks.

The nuts are a little shorter on the IS. You're probably seeing them stick out a bit?

They don't stick out too far and they are set at 100 ft/lbs...I drove for a while on them and re-checked the torque and the were all fine...I checked at AutoZone and the replacement lug nuts for a 99 GS 300 and a 2003 IS 300 are the same part....I figure they should work just fine....Just don't want to have to get 20 new lugs from the stealer!!! Any other ideas? Thanks.

I think the lugnuts are supposed to be around 76lbs +/-. Can someone back me up on this?

I believe it's 77 ft-lbs, to be exact.

I have the same occurrence in my ES after installing '03 ES factory rims. The lugs stick out an inch more than before. I have it like this for almost a year now. I believe this is more of a cosmetic issue than functional so I plan to continue leaving it alone.

Torque of wheel lugs for most Lexus models = 76 ft-lbs.

70 Ft Lb is better than 80 Ft Lbs. They won't come loose.!

Over torque of the lugs nuts tend to warp the rotors over time.
