GS Wheel Choice ???
First off, HELLO to all of my fellow GS owners. I've been lurking around the forums for a couple of years and I appreciate the amount of knowledge you guys have given me.
I had a set of VOLK TE-37's ( 19 x 8.5 44mm offset rear, and 19 x 9.5 44mm rears ) in gunmetal on the my GS400. I love these wheels and they have given me 2 years of worry free service. ( Even though the Mrs. has curbed 3 out of the 4 wheels) Recently, I got to thinking if a 19 x 9.5 and a 19 x 10.5 wheel would fit the fenders of the GS. People have told me that, "You're car isn't a 350Z, it can't fit that wide of a wheel under the fenders." Being that I work at a wheel and tire shop, I knew different. To my satisfaction I DID fit a 19 x 9.5 45mm offset wheel in the front, and a 19 x 10.5 45mm offset wheel in the back of my GS. So for all you interested, You can fit a 19 X 9.5, and 19 x 10.5 wheels under the fenders of your GS.
My question to all of you is, WHICH wheel do like on the GS ? The Gunmetal TE-37's or the Gunmetal HIRO's. Be brutely honest and rate the wheels on my GS. THANKS !!!

congrats on the wheels again, and welcome
i am going to move this to the wheel forum

Well you asked for my opinion right? Here it is definitely not unless your changing the whole appearance of your ride remember this car is not a Civic. It's a luxury car so with that in mind I would have to disagree with your choice of wheels. And welcome to the club of the best cars out there!!!!!

I'm kinda goning for the VIP/Tuner style with my GS. The tires are a 245/35/19 on the 19 x 9.5, and a 275/30/19 on the 19 x 10.5. With the car dropped 2-1/4, I do not have any issue's rubbing.

I appreciate the honest feedback. I've had the Gunmetal Te's for a couple of years, and I wanted to steer more towards the VIP/Tuner style. When I saw the lip potential I was sold. I know I need a bodykit, and am still contemplating which one. Thanks for your opinion.

If you are looking for VIP style, then Volk should NOT be a wise choice
Research more, don't waste your $$$ Need any consultation regarding making your GS VIP, please let us know

Thanks for your reply. The thing is I already had the TE37's for the sport look. I took those off and put the 9.5/10.5 HIRO's on for the VIP look. But, I do have a question though, are your wheel 2 or 3 piece? If they are multi-piece what type of barrell's are you using, T6, T3 aluminum? Please advise.
Thanks,
Yuji

Meaning ??? I drive it almost as aggressive as my CBR. But with the stock sway-bars, and braces it does sway a bit in spirited cornering, and long radius sweepers.

I think with the tire sizing I chose, I should have no issues rubbing. Keep in mind I'm using a 245/35/19 toyo T1S on a 19 x 9.5 in the front, and a 275/30/19 toyo T1S on a 19 x 10.5 in the rear. When I rude through all the treat on these tires I'm going to run a 265/30/19 front, and a 295/30/19 rear. I'm sure if I roll the fenders, I 'll be fine. But with the 19 x 9.5 45mm offset, 19 x 10.5 with a 45mm offset it brings the wheels out to, but not beyond, the fenders. Also keep in mind that I'm running the APEX i coilovers with a 2-2 1/2 in drop.
