Bridgestone Potenza S-03
i just took off my rims to put my stock ones back on and got a surprise. My front tires were bridgestones and both had circumferential cracks around the inner sidewalls adjacent to the treads. Looks really dangerous so if any of you have this tire just keep an eye out. I took a bunch of pics but got to be resized or something to be put on here

nope. just have some serious cracks all around the circumference. looks like tread separations waiting to happen. and these tires were only about 7000 miles old. still plenty of tread left

Actually, i had everything checked out, corrected and alignment done right before having these bridgestones put on. Before these i had yokohama avs sports and according to the alignment tests, my camber was a lot worse when i was running on the yokohamas. But i had no problem with the yokohamas during the entire use of them.
I contacted bridgestone. they said that i had to take the tires to one of their shops to have it inspected. And only if they think they are defected (which obviously they are) they will give me a replacement at a "prorated" rate depending on how much tire tread was left on the faulty pair. Considering that tread separation looked probable i think this is a ridiculous offer.

wow damn that's very serious cracking there! definitely not something cosmetic at all, i am sure the overall structure of the tire is gone already, the strength is definitely not even close to that of a new one. and it's obvious the tread is still very good (even the inside). if you never had a flat on them then it's definitely something bad about them. and the fact that BOTH of the front tires are cracked worries me

Whoooaaah! From your original description I was thinking between the treads [you were clear, I was just reading funny]. This looks like tread separation to me. You know, like the tire carcasses you see along the freeway from trucks running retreads. It's one hell of a thing to have this happen to both tires -- goes beyond bad luck to faulty product.
