Default Replacing shocks on '10 GS350 AWD

For those who've replaced shocks on these cars before I'm trying to replace my front shocks on a '10 GS350 awd and need to know if the shock can be disassembled directly while on the hook-like bracket or is it required to remove it altogether from the lower control arm. Is there any other structures that need to be removed ie: sway bar links, tire rod ends, etc.

Please share any tips that has helped with the replacement easier.

If there is already a post somewhere or video somewhere that provides guidance on this job please share. I only seem find videos on the shocks that connect directly to the lower control arm (RWD?).

Thanks.
