replace struts-2011 GS350 Rear wheel drive
I am looking at replacing the stock suspension due to age\miles on car (108,000) as part of routine maintenance. What is the best option? Not looking to lower car, nor am I needing more aggressive cornering. Would prefer an "easy-strut" if able, where the strut and coil spring come together. Open to ideas and suggestions.

There are no EZ struts. Autozone will ship you a free rental compressor, then return to a store. I bought the KYB mounts from them and the shocks from Rockauto (good price).
I have the AWD version. Rear is identical to RWD. Front RWD looks identical to my old Tbird, same strut. You have to remove the UCA, and work the strut bolt out of the LCA. AWD front is a bit different.
I suffered with the shock bushing bolt but that is normal where I live, and I'm experienced with it. I had the car in the garage for a few days and worked on it a bit every day. The rust causes it to bind and you need rust penetrant, curse words, powerful air/electric impact tools to spin it out. Shops add 100-200$ for this.
Install is tricky, things have to be lined up just right with the rear LCA and strut. It is a tension fit.
