I believe 1 inch drop should be okay.

I installed Tanabe lowering springs on 2015 Lexus GS AWD. Feels pretty close to stock ride quality and looks great lowered.

Did you need adjustable rear camber arms for the lowering spring installation? I have a set of Tanabe NF210s in my basement collecting dust because I'm being a big baby about putting them on and risking premature shock failure and alignment issues.

I have about 40K miles on my Tanabe + 20" wheels already, still on original struts, no liking or any issues. I would say rear camber kit is a MUST, otherwise swap rear tires every 6-8K miles.

You will need them. There is no stock rear camber adjustment. They're not expensive. As for shock failure, they will one day fail no matter what you do.
