Question 08 GS450h Lowering

I ordered a set of staggered Concept One CS20's with Toyo T1R 245/30-20 and 285/25-20 and want to lower the car.

I called Lexus to see if the Lexus spring pt#'s are the same as any other Lexus and they are not.

When I called Tanabe they tel me they have NOT tested this car with springs therefore DO NOT offer a lowering spring for the 08 450h. Eibach doesn't have anything either.

Does anyone have any other options for lowering the 08 450h ?

Also, wouldn't the front springs have a different part number than the rear? What are you part numbers on both pair (front and rear) so I can do some Searching to try and order?

I saw this part# you posted: Tanabe NF210 part #GWS191NK, but not sure if that's for the front or rear.

The US version of these springs are about $250-275. What should I expect to pay for the ones from Japan?
Trying to get an idea so when Tanabe calls me back this Monday with a price I'll know what's to be expected.

Tanabe USA will not help you get these springs. I tired to go through Tanabe at first but they have not "tested" that part # on USA GS450h's. They offered to take my car (most likely abuse it) to test the springs. I inquired about the procedure they would use to determine the proper spring rates, and honestly, it seemed a little shaddy. I therefore decided to buy off of Amazon.co.jp and have the springs shipped to the USA. These are not listed on Tanabe USA's website. Once again, Tanabe USA will not help you obtain these springs even if it is in their Japan catalog.

I would search youtube to find out how to order from Amazon.co.jp It looks like there are options available for you. Rakuten would work too.

Part number was for both front and rear. They have a different stamp on the springs that designate front or rear installation.

Price on Amazon.co.jpis 23,125.00 yen which is about 220 dollars give or take. All in all I had everything shipped to USA for 340.00 dollars.

These are the only springs rated for the gen 3 GS450h that I have found.

Your other option is to go coilovers, but you will have the same problem of having properly rated rear springs.

Well I just ordered them from Japan. There was no price on shipping so I took that risk. I also hope when it says "1pc" that means 1 SET of 4. FML.

We shall see and I'll keep you guys posted.

Thank you again rl9010 !!!!

Wel....that was a bust!!!

Just got an email from Rakuten saying, we regret to inform you but we do not provide shipping to your region hence forcing us to cancel your order...

I can't read the damn Japanese on Amazon.jp to order from them...

You have to set up an account with a shipping company like

http://www.tenso.com/en/guide/shop/shop.html

http://www.amazon.co.jp/TANABE-%E3%8...productDetails

There is a listing for the correct spring. Tenso account is the last step you are getting close!

The tenso acct has been setup and verified as of 2 days ago. I'm simply afraid of the fees and time it's gonna take to get here by going from a seller on Amazon.jp to a warehouse (Tenso), then waiting to be put on a container to be shipped to the US. That seems like it would take 3-6 months. IDK

I called Tanabe here in CA and they said they could get them but I'd have to go through a local distributor. So I called a Tanabe auto dealer in SoCal and they can get them from Tanabe who gets them from Tanabe Japan for $345. But they're saying they won't be here til the end of April.....

By the way, how is your setup looking these days? If you have some current pics I'd really love to see them.

FYI: got my Gen 3 GS450h specific springs from Tanabe USA but had to go through an auto dealer. But you gotta know the above GWS part number. Mine was $345 plus tax which was about $375 USD. But I have to go get them from CA.

Default Camber kit (rear)

So I got my wheels, got my lowering kit, got it aligned and the rear isn't adjustable so I'll need a camber kit that adjusts camber and toe for the rear.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a kit?

Not sure about toe, but spc control arms worked out pretty well for my 430. Would have ran less camber than -2.5 if the wheels didn't hit the fender. Rear is also shaven
