Default Bumper Stop cut or no-cut with Tanabe Springs?

More opinions please.

I'm having some Tanabe NFL210 lowering springs (mild, 1 1/8" drop) installed on my '15 GS350 F Sport. Tanabe recommends cutting stops by 1 1/8" ( the same as their spring drop).

Cut the shock bump stops? Apparently this is a some debate with equal proponents on both sides of the issue.

I'm a pretty easy driver and usually slow for railroad tracks, big pot holes and speed bumps. I'd like to retain the longevity and travel of the F Sport shocks (like the adjustability in Sport +) but don't want a "thud" overtime I inadvertently drive over a bump or pothole a little faster than I should have.

So, to CUT or NOT CUT?

Default We cut them after all

Dealer did the install and CUT the bump stops per Tanabe instructions (1 1/8"). Everything worked out fine. Alignment dialed in to specs without a problem. Ride is near stock like, shocks work well in all modes (full travel with no bouncing), no bottoming out over speed bumps or bad roads.

BTW...The Tanabe NF210 dropped the car nicely (for my taste). It's been a couple of weeks now and the car sets at 1 1/4 front, 1" rear. The "SUV" gap from the factory is almost gone. Now for some spacers?

Looks good

Did you add spacers? I noticed you're in CA as well and curious who/where you had them installed

No spacers, yet. Thinking about 15 and 25mm (f/r) but the car looks OK to me so maybe I won't
The springs were installed at Longo Lexus. Pricey, but I wanted a by-the-book install plus alignment and headlight re-aim.

Almost $900 and tied the car up in shop for 2 days. (I know..way more than any independent shop in So Cal would charge but I a wanted a mod friendly SA on board with what was being done).
