Default Advise on lowering please

I am getting my gs lowered tomorrow morning and I have been calling aroundfor a few days getting quotes for installation. Most of the people are recommending to do the alignment right after lowering it. I mentioned to them about the springs settling and one guy even said "I have never heard of springs settling, they don't adjust after install"

When is the best time to get the alignment done after lowering the car?

I went with the Sport Springs and my Installer here in Houston advised to get the alignment done after 1 week. To be quite honest, the ride height looked the same to me a week later. Ride felt the same as well. If you need to see more details, there is a thread under the Sub-Forum for Sport Springs with pics and alignment sheet posted for a reference. What springs did you end up purchasing?
