What is the best coil for gs350? Anybody here can tell me if theres a big difference on tein SS and tein CS?
The story is im currently using tein SS right now and i like it as long as i dont go on to much with the bumps. But the problem is since i picked up my gf and her sister the first thing that came to their mouth was " MAN YOU COULD FEEL EVERY BUMP ON THIS CAR " since then i got frustrated, never wanna carry passenger because they are tellin me its too bumpy and ****. So should i change to any comfortable coilover like Tein CS or Stance GR+? By the way the set up on my coils are 8/8 sometimes 16/16 but they dont see any changes, so its really annoying.
What are the soft rates of the springs? Can u give me the complete info? And what about those KW coilovers which one is the best for comfort while maintaining the sporty look?
Because im looking to retain the height which is i can barely put 1 finger in front and rear while having comfort so i could carry passenger. Because right now on tein its to bumpy and im at the 8 setting, even put it in 16 still bumpy. I am really in need of comfort. Like i heard tein comfort sport ride like stock even u put it low, but havent talk to anyone that has one.
I have tein CS and I can still feel bumps. The person I got it from put the setting for me so i'm not sure how low mine is. But it does not feel like stock when its that low.
I think this is the same problem I had with my Megan LP with about the same height and the damn ride was horrible so I took the wheels out to inspect and found that the front upper control arms were hitting the inside cushions in the wheel wells close to the upper shock mounts so bad that they stamped a pretty deep marks into the cushions.
Easy fix, I raised them up about 3/4" and the ride is now Lexus smooth. Try it dude or unless you wanna cut out some chunks for your upper control arms to move freely.
For us guys u know anything will do, like for me my tein SS is fine but the problem is i cant carry passenger because i know while they sitting in the back of their head " THIS CAR SUCK ".. Tein SS is too sporty, the handling is great cant lie, but the ride its not really that good, It is build for track use. And im still using the stock 18" wheels so it is pretty low. But Im pretty sure even i put 19" and 35 series tire the outcome will be the same. And also i want my passenger to be able to sleep during long drive or on the freeway. So pls give me more option besides KW and BC coils. i think tein CS is out of my list.
Oh tein SS has softer rates they got 7k i think but like i said road here in sf sucks. Idk what to do, maybe ill wait til monday and call tein if i can replace the springs with swift.
put it back to OEM suspension and get RCA's for the fronts. when I went back to stock I couldnt deal with the wheel gap so I installed RCA's up front and the car drove great but looked much better to. Not as low as coils but a great option if you desire more comfort.
