hey sorry i havent responded in a while guys. im actually in the process of selling my car so sometime this week i'll just post specs of the spacers for everyone. you can have them machined at a local shop (should cost more than $70, at least thats what ive paid for a few sets) and if you need any additional info on installing them, feel free to post or pm me.
Wow, why you selling? I sold my '07 about a month ago and bought an A6.
the rings go on the end of the axle. when the axle is pulled out, you slide the spacer on. the OD of the spacer is the same OD as the end of the axle so all you need to do is line it up and temp. hold it in place till you slide the axle back in and tighten the axle nut.
i machined the two rings according to IXI187IXI spec.
i will have them installed after two weeks since im still in duty, will take pix, record a video and post it.
scores goes to IXI187IXI if this fixes the vibration
it doesnt get rid of them 100% but it does drastically cut them down by nearly 80-85% imo. again this vibration is all subjective to the person which is why i was going to have people test them out prior to have them produced.
Hey, notice your close to philly... Have any idea where can i get these spacers thinking about getting Bc coilovers and want to get everything done and install once Thanks
Man i've been looking all over and trying to follow these threads! FINALLY i've found this one!.
I have a turbocharged S2000's and lowered. axle spacers are very common for our s2000's. They are called half shaft spacers or full. The half shaft spacers are the most popular as we can just unbolt the axles from the diff portion, slide them out just enough and put the spacers on, rebolt and done.
