the plates allow your coilovers to place themselves lower, so your UAS bags don't scrape against the lining of the wall, resulting in a torn bag.

EDIT: Sorry, that was the 3in spacer I was referring to. What the plates are, i believe when he was talking, was the plates for the struts to the bags, so it doesn't move around during operation?
