I will be in the market for coilovers shortly and I have seen members using several different kinds and would like some feedback about ride quality and product quality. I have tein springs now and they ride nice but I want adjustabilty and to go low as possible!!!

 

i recall rominl doing a review on tein coils a while back...do a search on that, it should tell you what his feedback was on the ride.

 

Tein coils wont go too low, so you can skip Tein. If you want to go low, get the JIC coilovers

 

Tanabe. Absolutely LOVE these things.

 

I have HKS hypermax, and I think the ride is better than tein.

 

hmm...musta missed the low as possible part when i replied. to OP: if you want ground scraping low, i'd go with airbags instead of coils.

As mentioned I have the BC Racing and love the ride quality and adjustability. In less than 5 minutes I can adjust the height (does not include jacking up the car, taking tire off etc....). BC also goes very low. So far I am happy with my decision. If I could have afforded it I would have gone with JIC because all the reviews and feedback are positive but the same can be said for Tein and Tanabe. If you want to be able to adjust the dampening electronically then go with Tein since they offer that EDFC Controller. Also if you decide to go Air down the road with a coilover/bag system UAS recommends Tein since they have done testing on that setup.

 

i have BCR too and for the price they are great and go low. JIC are very nice but more than double the price of BCRs

 

i like my BC's as well. next meet i'm at that you're there, you can check them out if you like. also, i believe that JP just came out with a new set, but i would not want to see the price on those....

 

do you get vibration on these since you're AWD?

 

yes, awd has vibrations when lowered. the lower, the more vibrations....

FYI...Tanabe also offers their version of EDFC called TEAS.
