photos update - TEIN c/o max lowered
I got off my **** this weekend and adjusted the TEIN C/Os this weekend. Attached are updated pics. A couple of notes: For $800, you get what you pay for... The pics show the lowest you can go with the TEINs, which is about flush. The rears are adjusted pretty much to the lowest setting. The fronts are set an inch from the lowest setting. This allows the car to sit level (after much trial and error). By the way, at the lowest setting, the front sits tucked about 1/2 an inch... Anyhow, the ride is decent, a little stiff. The rear does not rub at all, even with passengers, and the front rubs and is currently eating away the rubber lining... I am going to roll the fender up a bit. Let me know what you think or if you have questions...
Sorry for any confusion... By saying you get what you pay for, I don't know if these are such a great buy... I've posted a pic... The way you adjust these c/os is not what I was used to... kinda ghetto... also, no camber adjust. i just got my alignment done today... -2.2 deg of camber in the rear and nothing i can do about it... i guess im gonna keep rollin the cheapy nitto tires.... the following pic is of the rear shock, which is close to as low as it can go (i gave it a lil room - 2 full turns)...
this looks so damn good now man, congrats! i think the drop is good, although it's at the bottom, which is kinda sad coz' i wish there are more room like the cs/flex/ha series. and man, again, your car looks sick at that height
congrats man
congrats man
Car looks good. I don't think I could roll with wheels tucked. To much rubbing issues for daily driving.
What way are you used to?

btw, is that the tein ss? if so they, that's why they are stiff. i would just wait for tein cs, i am old
i think the rear being tucked is ok, as long as it's not too aggressive on offset. for the front though, you can rub the top of the lining pretty easily. on my gs400 and sc430, the front lining has taken quite some beating

I got dealt the same cards bud. The inside of the rubber lining is rubbing a bit. BUT... it looks great none the less.
I go back and forth about dropping my GS. I remember the alignment and tire headaches I had on my previous GS and say I'll be content with stock. Then I see pics like these and I get the urge to drop my GS.
In any event, your GS looks great

looks plenty low to me.
like NEO said, what kind of C/O adjustment are you used too? they all have two perches that lock together like that unless it's air set up.

I didn't even realize coilovers were already available for the 3rd gen GS!
Thanks to all for the positive comments. Thanks Rominl. Im lazy so I almost didn't re-lower it. Yes they are SS line, and yes, if I could do it over again, I would wait for the CS or Flex.
Also, I should have gone with a 10.5 in the rear, or a more aggressive offset. No rubbin issues in the rear.
