170k Refresh - 2007 gs350 awd
Hi everyone,
After spending hours browsing through these forums, I find myself in need of some guidance regarding the suspension upgrades for my Lexus GS 350. I’m aiming for many more years of enjoyable driving, but I’m uncertain about which suspension components need replacement.
Currently, my GS is on its original suspension. I know for sure that the rear dampers are worn out. I’m considering installing coilovers to gain the flexibility of adjusting the suspension height. However, maintaining a ride quality close to the factory standard, or at least part quality, is important to me.
I’m also aware that various components like bushings, inner and outer tie rods, and other suspension parts probably need replacing. Given that the GS is a luxury car, but my driving mainly involves mountain roads, I’m keen on reducing body roll and enhancing stability. Upgrading to performance-type bushings seems like a potential solution.
I would greatly appreciate any advice on this matter. Recommendations on specific brands or parts, and your experiences with similar upgrades would be incredibly helpful. Additionally, if there’s a specific forum thread that addresses these concerns, please point me in that direction.
Thank you, and happy holidays to everyone!

I'm currently in the process of refreshing mine. So far:
-New KYB OEM struts,i kept the springs
-New Stabilizer end links (Delphi) from Rockauto
-New lower control arm bushings OEM from Ebay
-New Ball joints from rockauto (Delphi)
I will not do coilover at all, it will harden the ride, and it's already harsh comparing to the ES. What you can do is get Figs LCA Bushings, OEM F Sport swaybar, and Megan Racing Strut bar. It will improve the handling greatly.
