Does anyone know of a Front Upper Strut bar for the 2nd Generation GS300 ....and allows me to keep my engine cover?

I have the UGO and it has a good amount of clearance. But then I don't have a cover. Still, LXOGOOD has the UGO too with the cover. Here is his thread with some pics:

The only other one might be the RMM. It has pretty good clearance too. I just have not seen it on a GS3.

 

I have the UGO also and was told that it would fit with the engine cover on. I have also been told by other members that the RMM wont fit with the engine cover on. Good luck

 

No upper stb will fit the gs300 with the engine cover on without a ton of spacers. The RMM has the a good amount of clearance out of most of the stbs. LXO has a custom made cf engine cover which is why his fits.

If you have the UGO installed....shouldn't you know for a fact that it fits with cover on?

I dont have the engine cover on my GS. There is quite a bit of space so I assume that the engine cover will work. I was told by a very reliable source that the engine cover will fit. If you want to go to my webpage I have pics of the UGO installed on my car.

 

TRD fits the GS400 with the engine cover on. Is the GS300 engine much higher????

 

i have the RMM bar and added the 2001 engine cover and it cleared fine...i'll send u a pic if u want..

 

speaking about that.. Will the TRD stb fit with the engine cover???

 

No it will not. you have to use spacers to clear the STB.

 

Whats required to add the post 00 engine cover to the earlier 2 gens?

I guess the pics settles the big question on most GS300 owners who want a front upper STB and also keep the OEM engine cover ...looks like we have a choice now....RMM or Ugo.

UPDATE -

RMM Sales told me the RMM Front Upper Strut Bar only fits 98-00 GS300. It will NOT fit 01+ GS300.

Was there a design change in the engine compartment that Im not aware of between 98, 99, 00 model VS. 01, 02, 03 model GS300?
