Ls400 or ls430 calipers on gs300
Ever since I went to the junk yard to look for sum ls400 calipers because I heard is a good brake upgrade but wasn' able to find any instead I came across a ls430 that had way bigger breaks then what I was looking for and have found sum forums that talk about it but not give a straight answer into what I need I also want to do the back breaks if possible the ls430 calipers look massive both front and rear and was wondering if it was plug and play or if not what' all I need for this convertion thanks everyone

i thought there was one setup floating around with them giant monoblocks (might have even been the ls460) that was from japan? cant verify completely just yet, but im pretty sure it was in one of the ls400 conversion threads.

no im not saying just made it work but that there was a japan only aftermarket bracket that worked. i think it may have been several years back and people looked and went through hell trying to find it or a way to get it here in the states though.

A company called DSR sold a big brake kit for this car that was actually LS430 calipers with custom brackets.

Ls400 brake lines
hey y’all I’m doing a ls400 brake caliper swap. Which brake lines are you guys using for the swap. I thought the GS lines will fit but they don’t. I want to go stainless steel. You guys got any good recommendations on which ones I should get. Thanks

What do you mean you couldn't use the GS lines? They stock GS front lines should bolt right up. If you want to upgrade to stainless the stoptech stainless lines for our cars on rockauto are cheap and I've had no problems with them in 2.5 years. Although make sure you check that they're not rubbing on anything after you install or they could get a hole in the line.
