Default Do I need to replace endlinks when changing shocks?

My car is currently in the shop waiting to have all 4 shocks replaced. My mechanic suggested I get all the endlinks replaced as well since there will be on extra labor charge, only the cost of parts. Do I need this? I have s is250 awd with 67k miles.

Need to, no; a good idea while down there, why not for $70.

It depends on the condition of everything and how easily they come apart. Generally, no, it is not required.

If they are not seized or loose, I wouldn't touch them, but as Gville said, you could do them while you're there.

he may have damaged them during installation of your shocks (hope not), but as stated they are not needed unless compromised.
