So next weekend going to be doing half downs and 20mm and 25mm spacers on my wifes IS200T. With this set up its safe to say I should be fine with no rubbing but I am looking to go a tad wider on the rear tires and even considered a litttle more side wall all the way around. What is the widest I can run on the stock rims (back rims) with 20mm spacers? 285? Also has anyone gone to a taller size? I think they are 30's all the way around? I just want a tad more meating looking tires. If not taller at least the 285 in rear?

If you're sticking with the stock rims, then the sizes on it now are really the best sizes for them. The front is 225/40 18 and the rear 255/35 18.
If you really want to upsize, the biggest you could safely go is 235/40/18 on the front and 265/35/18 on the rear.
A 285 would be too big for the rear.

Safely speaking, 245 is the widest you "should" go on front 8.0 in wheels and 255 on the rear 8.5 in wheels. You really don't need anything more than 255 in the rear or it would be an overkill.

Post pics after installing the half downs!

I was just lowered with fsport springs, and from I found.. Half Downs and Fsport give a similar drop. I'm tempted to see how spacers would look with these mild drops.

Thanks, not sure why I was thinking the rear tires where already 265.

people go with wider tires for traction. If your just going for the beefy look use spacers. I see people go 20mm rear and 25mm front.
