Default Rebuilt/Remanufactured BMC

Sorry to start a new thread, but a bit urgent as I am about to buy a 2001 Rebuilt/Remanufactured BMC (Brake Master Cylinder) for $450 from an eBay seller that has a 100% rating. I figure this is slightly more than the used ones, and I'm sticking to 2001+. Has anyone put one in and/or does this sound like a good plan? OEM 3rd party seems to be $1400 and new, well forget new...

eBay LINK

It is to address a pinging noise that is occurring more and more often when applying the brakes, which a tech said is the ABS kicking in erroneously...

Thanks much.
