Default Rear Coilover Adjustment?

Hey guys/gals,

I was wondering if anyone else is having any issues with adjusting the rear BC coil-overs. i wanted to raise the car a little but I'm having trouble getting clearance for spanner/tool to properly turn, the trunk /bump stop on one side and then the strut on the other side, I was able to turn it a little but then the strut gets in the way and I can't reach all the way to the other side because the back of the trunk gets in the way.
There's also a ton of tension obviously on the spring, did you you guys remover the control arm bolt to release the tension or were you able to adjust without doing removing the bolt?
I know I should have take a picture but I didn't think of it until after.

I removed the lower shock bolt and it gave me about another inch. That made all the difference.
It wen from impossible to barely doable.

Interesting, i may needa try this next time.

I literally had to remove everything to adjust the springs... such a terrible design. I wish these coils were true type where the coils go over the shock.

It's not that bad once you got the hang of things.. I had to take my rear end apart 7 times to finally get the height I want. By the time I was done, I had all the torque specs memorized haha. But since this isn't something you mess with all the time, once you get the height you desire you'll never need to mess with it again.

Lexus went to the separate spring and shock to free up more usable space in the trunk.
