Rear Coilover Installation Trouble
Stuck shock bolt.
Well guys I'm in the process of installing bc coilover with swift springs on my isf. I got the front in pretty easily, within two hours (taking my time including jacking up the car).
I'm now stuck in the rear because I can not get the lower shock bolts out of the lower control arm. It is rusted inside of the bushings. Air impact doesn't work, heat doesn't work, I've soak the area in pb blaster over night and will be fighting it again in an hour when the weather warms up a bit.
I try not to use the breaker bar because that will probably break the bolt and then I will have to drill it out somehow. Never done that before.

I had similar issue somewhat recently re-doing the coilovers in my daily S2K and I had the bolt get seized in the control arm bushing. I just ended up replacing the control arm and pulling the entire thing out in one piece. Tried everything too, soaking it, impact ect. Wouldn't come out.

So i torch the bolt, both sides and then pb blast the bolt to cool it down. Then quickly hit it with the impact wrench. It came loose after knocking it back and forth for an hour. I got it to move back and forth half an inch.
Lots of pb blaster down on my floor and lots so smoke and I'm not even done. I don't even want to think about the other side because I was having trouble with the nut on that side. Sigh...

Finally got the rear driver bolt out. But I am really stuck on the rear passenger side now. I will try the compress air can tomorrow. I remember doing that on the s2k crank bolt. I thought pb blaster would cool it enough. Guess not...
