Default Braking System - How Proportioned?

OK, somebody techincally experienced, tell me how rear brake pads wear out before fronts?

Are the fronts manufactured of a harder composition because they are used more often, so the rears wear out first?

In December 2002 I put on ECB pads all around.

Early this month Lexus had to replace the rear pads which were totally worn down. I don't drive particularly "hard" no had I done big mileage. I was disgusted. The front pads are only 20% worn though.
And my post about the TRD pads:

WTF?

Dex,

That does not make any sense. The only explanation I can think of is your piston of rear claiper does not release properly, so the pads are always touching the rotors. I have been thru 3 sets of front pads but my rear pads are still in good shape. After read your post, I now check my rear pads every other week

Hmmm - so I guess his sticks too, AND, I got that caliper replaced, so hopefully, all righ right now.

Any Techs here know what the percentage front ot rear the bias should be?

55 / 45?
60 / 40?

I'm not sure if the park brake uses the regular disc brakes or, like many cars, still uses a drum or other separate brake (a redundant system), but if it uses the regular disc brakes, then if the park brake is left on while driving, even slightly, the pads will wear out in no time.

Not sure what you mean by bias, but the front brakes do almost all the work, probably 80/20.

What I mean by bias is, what percentage of the pressure when the brake pedal is applied, is distributed to the front, and what percentage of the pressure is distributed to the rear. You got it.

80 / 20 seems a bit to lopsided to me.
