How do BC Coilovers handle extra weight?

Default How do BC Coilovers handle extra weight?

I'm planning on installing BCs and I have subs in the trunk (maybe 75lbs total) plus I'm planning on a move with long drive (car loaded with my things). Will the tires rub? Will it sag? I'm not looking at carrying anything more than a few hundred pounds. THanks for any insight or experience.

They'll be fine. The one of a handful of times I had four passengers in my car, my 12k/8k setup did just fine. I just stiffened up the dampening by 10 more clicks. The ride felt plush like stock.

So you proactively increased the dampening knowing you were going to carry passengers? I ask this because getting to the rear adjusters (with extenders) is going to be a chore if I need to do this everytime I carry some people. Either way, thanks for the response.

Yes, any time there's a larger-than-normal load I'll increase the dampening. I even do it for a Costco run. LOL!

+1 for what gville said. The extenders make it very easy to adjust. I've had a full car 2 times because I try to avoid at all costs, hah, but they handlethe weight very well even with less than a finger gap in the back.
