Default Sway bar bushing access cut

Just installed new front sway bar bushings. I noticed that the cut is not the same location as oem. Question is, should I be ok with the way it is? The cut is on the flat part and not the sides like oem.

It's designed that way; you're fine.

I know this an old thread. Do you remember if the bushing ended up snug on the bar? The IS250 front sway bar is 27.2mm OD. I'm just cross checking for fitment. I will be using these bushings on the F sport AWD 28.5 mm OD. I'm assuming I'll have to ream them out to work with the bar.

Thanks

You cant just 'ream" them out. You can purchase the correct sizes.
They can bind and make noise if too tight, loose and they will open under side load.

I reamed the ones I have now. Went from 24mm to 26.5mm. Very carefully with a dremel tool and sanding bits. Been working fine for about 2 years now. I just didn't want to do it to these new ones on order. I find superpro's the best OEM style. Aftermarket are really thin walled, and require new brackets.
