Default Who Has Tein Street Advance Coil Overs?

This is my first post in years I think, this is my 3rd SC but my first SC 400. I am in the process of putting on my Tein Street Advance Coil Overs and have 19x8.5 and 19x10 +35 Niche Surge Wheels on the way. My question is what are your impressions of these coil overs and what stiffness settings are recommended? I know on a lot of other car boards, (I have 4 cars) that they normally have a recommendation of what the best settings are, so I was just curious where to start. I know its kind of trial and error, but I have only had this car 2 weeks and putting it together in a hurry to drive on a 10 hour trip, and I do not want to be stopping every few miles and adjusting it. Just let me know what ya think.

Here is the before shot, 1998 SC400 83,000 Miles Baroque Red.

Welcome back! And nice SC400 Looks like you have been away for a while.

I'd love to know your impressions of the Tein SA's on your car. I am mostly only finding the Tein CST's and Flex's for the SC. My only thought as to your concern is whether or not the SA's are compatible with the EDFC controller. I would start softer at the initial break-in and gradually go up from there to determine your optimal settings. Without knowing the spring rates it's hard to compare to other setups.

I wouldn't rush getting everything properly installed to proper torque specs and it's also recommended you get a four wheel alignment after putting this suspension in, especially if you have any lowering whatsoever.

Be safe, please and let us know your impressions!

I just installed a set of the SA last weekend. I have them on the stiffest setting with a moderate drop. I came from the stock struts with Tanube Nf210. Honestly can't really tell a huge difference, it wasn't night and day. It's a tad stiffer than the stock, but think my struts we're on there way out anyways.
If I didn't spend the extra cash I had for tires I would have bought a "real" set of Coilovers.

I put them on and set them to the recommended setting of 8 front and rear. Lowered it 1" from the top in the front .75" in the rear and drove it 10 hours to Florida, and I love them! It drives perfectly! I also put 19's on it the same day. Couldn't be happier.

I really like your wheels. I'm looking for something similar. Are those the Surge Black/Machined w/ Dark Tint ?
