Default Tein Street Basis coils, anyone?

Sup SC lovers, awhile back I had a '99 GS300 sitting on the Tein Street Basis coilovers. I loved the price and the looks, but once I installed them.. My car was bouncy! Like a bouncy house! Lol now I have a SC and I'm looking to drop it on coils. These came up again, I want to get them but I'm afraid of them being super bouncy again. Anyone have these and can give feedback? Maybe I had them installed wrong on my GS? Thanks!

I had them on my 93 sc300. Not bouncy, great ride and cheap.

I went with Tein Street Flex that has 16 way adjustable. The softest setting is quite bouncy but at 10-12 (16 being the stiffest setting) the ride is quite acceptable.

Not their most economical model but one option to consider.... But, they may now be discontinued for our SCs.... Link below but no SC options are listed....

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but wouldn't the Tein coilover kits for the MKIV work just fine? Because they still make products for the Supra. Looking to jump on the cheap coilover bandwagon here too haha.

better option?

I think $500 for a set of coils is decent even if they are non adjustable.

I might get some street advanced or street basis as well.
Street basic and street basis not the same any more maybe you hade basics on the GS300

not sure about these, but my SC300 is on Tein Flex Z. The ride in the street is actually pretty decent, and they're good drifting on the track too!

Yes for the record, any coilover from the MKIV Supra will be plug and play.

I heard great things about Flex Z other than its not rebuildable. However, they are only 730 on Ebay!

Tein basis coilover need to swap your oem top hat to install if anyone did not know, but seems best bang for the buck!
