Default replacing shocks/struts help

Hi everyone I am trying to figure out if I should buy a coilover kit or just the shocks themselves. The thing I don't want to do is lower my car and affect the driving comfort. My 2006 is250 is my daily driver and I want to maintain a comfortable ride, I am just not sure if a coilover system will lower the cars stance because that is what I don't want. Any tips or advice? Thanks guys.

If you have no desire to chance the ride height or "stance" of the car, then just go for replacement shocks.

I agree with Gville350 and just go for the replacement shocks if driving comfort is your main priority.
