The name of this site should be changed from ClubLexus to CLUBUWILLNEVERSAVE$$!! You guys highlight so much information, that I think any REAL car guy who reads it wants to order the stuff on the spot!!
This is a good post for me to read, because I like being low, but hate the harsh ride when in the city. Well I've been cruising the market place and lurkin in the shadows for a used Tein kit for the 1st Gen GS, I'll just keep lurkin!

Its great to know that you have full control over the height of your car. Knowing I can raise up my car in the winter months. Also to get the perfect drop. Cant beat it.

Why does a smaller diameter spring work better?
Except on a race car where there's physically not that much room,is there going to be a difference in the spring function;frequency/rate? No way man.
I've always used Bilsteins, whatever rate springs that make the car handle, and machined aluminum shims on top of the springs to get the ride in the right place.
Which is another way to screw up the roll centers on a perfectly good suspension; going too low(get hydraulics instead imo).Usually car's stock suspensions can be lowered up to an inch before degrading the geometry.
I'm sure Tein makes some nice stuff too,and they seem to have the testing down, along with high quality.
