Default How low can you go!

Alright CL, so if any of you have read my previous thread on my coils well I am getting Ksport instead of Starke cause of a mix up with the company at least I am happier with Ksport, anyways I am also getting some pretty aggressive wheels and prob will be rolling my rear fenders, my question is how low can I go before I have to do major fender work and even relocate the bumper tab on my front fenders, I would greatly appreciate all advice from all IS250 RWD with coils, I want a nice sexy drop but at the same time avoid doing major fender work and have no rubbing issues... thanks CL.

What are the measurements on the wheels and tire size? It would be easier to answer with those specs.

Dont mind doing the roll in the rear but trying to avoid the tab relocation

What are the spring rates on the KSports? You should go with BC's and get custom spring rates so they are stiffer with the somewhat aggressive wheels you are running, it'll help a lot. But you'll will definitely need a fender roll and if you want to avoid the tab relocation then it just means you can't go that low in the front. Depending on what tire size and how much camber you decide to run, you can definitely make it work.

Thanks for all the advice, I think my spring rate is 8k and my local shop is already going to do my fender rolls and any other fender mods I may need all on them... So it'll prob be a long day on Friday when everything comes in....

I am in a similar situation with 8.5x19 +25, fender tab is your worst enemy. You can still go pretty low if you got 225/35 but you will be very close on the tab. I am like 24.7in fender to ground, (tire tucked a bit) and I had to relocate the tab. I recommend you to bite the bullet and do it. I hope this helps.

Yes definitely lol, I know this because I have 235s and I'm kind of regretting it. You will definitely need to remove some of the liner and relocate that tab. I relocated the tab and the edge of the metal near that tab was still eating a hole through my tire.

Depending on your drop, you will be rubbing a lot on the liners. People say to just let the tire eat through it but I had issues with parts of the liner ripping and rattling inside the fender. I think issues like these are reasons on why people cut parts of the liner by hand.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

yeah if you dont do the tab relocation then you wont be able to go too low in the front. but with a 235/35 on a 19x8.5 you are gonna rub all over the place. when i still had SP1 i had a 19x8.5 with a 225/35 and that still rubbed like crazy on the bumper tab as low as i was/am because its too square. if you plan a 40 series rear, you are definitely going to rub everywhere unless you are like stock height

you are going to need a fender roll front and rear if you plan on being low. i would do some more research on your wheel/tire choices before you buy anything

There is always Megan UCA for the front and Camber arms for the rear. I have 19x8.5 +32 235/35 ZR19 Michelin Pilot super sports front and 19x10 +38 275/30 ZR19 MPSS rear with front Megan UCA and Megan Rear camber arms. Not super low but no roll or pull front or back, only a little heat gun in the front.

Just got it all done today will post pics after a good wash, but went low enough to get rid of fender gap, rolled the rear fenders and in front only went low enought to make it look good but with enough clearance to avoid tab relocation if I want to go any lower then yes i would have problems... My wheels are 19x9.5 +22 F with 235/30 tires and yes i am rubbing all over the plastic now tomorrow will take them off and heat gun all the areas... Now the rear even with fenders rolled I feel im rubbing somewhere I have 245/40 on 19x10.5 +22 on the rear its really aggressive but looks real nice, may have to stiffen the back a little more on my coils

Heres my new wheels with coils installed I think thats a nice and still functional drop aside from the rubbing in the front that I will fix tonight with a heat gun I like the new look, kinda sucks that dimple thats left on my rear fenders after rolling them, maybe once I get it recleared in the future will adress it to make it look a little better
