Default Do I need a camber kit?

I'm going to run 18x9.75 +20 with 245/40/18 all around. Will I need a camber kit? What does a camber do anyways besides save me some tires? What's the purpose of it?

First off, you won't want to be running 245/40 tires on those specs. Way too aggresive of wheels to not be stretching tires. You'll also be needing to make fender modifications and even then you will need to allow for negative camber so a camber kit will not help you at all.

I got the wheels together from some local guy selling them. A camber kit won't be necessary then?

You could "need" them to run additional negative camber to clear the fenders. The fronts I'd be more worried about those with those tire size.

Which camber kits do I need? If I don't run cambers, will my set up still be okay? I'll need some major fender work.

True, but you'll clear in the rear. You need to roll the front and rear and relocate the front bumper tab. You won't need any additional camber other than what will naturally occur from your given specs.

What's the easier way to relocate the front number tab? If I don't remove it, will it rub on my tires?

Rub is a very soft way to put it. More like it'll eat away at your tire tread like it did mine. It took out like 1/4" out of my tire before I got to relocate them.

So there is no real easier way. You can either shave it away and use a quick release bumper mount to hold the bumper or just shave away and make a new hole further down. I did the second one.

I'm going to be lowered on Tein S-Techs. It won't drop the ride significantly but will I still need to move the number tabs?
