I need to know how far the TT and LS calipers stick out past the face of the rotor. I've heard anything from 2.5 to 2.75 inches but i'd like to know for sure. All you have to do is put a tape measure on the face of the rotor and measure to the furthest point of the caliper and report back. The stock SC3 caliper is right about 1.5 inches.
This would be good definitive information for anybody who's trying to fit these calipers behind their wheels.
And yes I know there are templates out there.

Here are all the pictures I have found that give any refrence to caliper width. These first two are good, I'm still in for measurements with them mounted with a rotor on the car!

Yes it's almost what I need, but it seems that fitting TT calipers can come down to millimeters. That 1 1/2 is not counting the thickness of the pad to the rotor. I want to hear some exact figures from calipers on cars.

The first picture shows that it is 2 1/4" to the extra material that goes around the pads. The last pictures shows that the pads go past that material, but not an extreme amount. Another 1/4"+ it seems. So minimum clearance seems to be 2 1/2", although you should probably go with no less than 2 3/4".

I gotchu...
Sorry for the ugly rust on my rotor; it's rained the passed few days, and I haven't driven it 'cus I need an Inspection/Registration (it's new).
However, I don't even know which rotors & calipers they are, but from my research here, they look to be the Stop-Tech Rotors with LS400 Calipers.
They came with the car, as did my Fujitsubo exhaust.
However, you can tell with these rims (I don't even know if they're from an SC even...) that there's verrrry little room in between the spokes & the caliper, perhaps like 1/4" only.

However, I've never taken the wheels off.
I will soon, because I've finally sourced some Supra TT lower control arms w/ poly. bushings; so as soon as I get them in the mail (2 weeks), I'll have them put on (along with Supra TT springs) and I'll double-check for you, as I plan to take pics anyway.
Just from peering through the rim though, I don't think I see a spacer.
I've driven the car a couple times though (floated a tag on it, in order to get it home after I bought it), and it was 100%. No rubbing issues.
