Default Squeaking like crazy from front suspension

When I bought the car from the previous owner, he told it that I would experience some squeaking because something about the suspension is polyurethane so it would squeak. He said to stop the squeaking I would have to spray the area with lithium grease.

What do you guys think, should I keep the part he has on that has poly or get new OEM parts so that I don't experience the squeaking anymore? It happens most during speed bumps. Here are the suspension mods on the car. Is it the lower control arm bushings?

Suspension Modifications
Suspension: TEIN Comfort Sport w/ EDFC (in-cabin electronic 16-way suspension stiffness adjustment)
Daizen Lower Control Arm Bushings
Daizen Sway Bars
Daizen Steering Wheel Bushings
TEIN Strut Tower Brace
TOM’S 6-Piece Rear Link
TRD Front Lower Control Brace

i'd start with the sway bar bushings. the daizen ones are polyurethane and the grease wears out (gets squished out?) in those quickly.

Especially on the bumps, where the bar is rotating in the bushing

Any recommendations for a brand for new bushings? Thanks for the prompt reply!

read through this thread and other links within it..

before you spend more money on parts, be sure you got the right part that is squeaking. it could be the other parts too.

Dude, just go to a Lexus dealer and get the OEM bushings. Will Likely be the last time you'll ever buy new ones. Mine were replaced at 107k and caused a bunch of clunking inthe front. The new bushings off ebay sqeaked bad. I lubed them up and it stopped. Since I didn't want constantly worry about the bushings I just got factory ones and haven't given it a thought since....

That's actually a good idea, ive been reading more and more about noise issues on the Daizens. Would the OEM bushings fit on Daizen sway bars though? How much were the bushings?

A great question Tianh. Does anyone know if you could get away with using stock rubber bushings on the Daizen sways? They are thicker so I'm thinking not. if that's the case any links to aftermarket rubber bushings that would fit?

I realize that we'd be giving up some of what we put the Daizens on there for in the first place but for me, it's worth the sacrifice to not have to listen to them squeak which was a constant problem for me the last time I had them on.

Just FYI, I just lubed up the daizen sway bushings that came with my daizen sways the other day.

I had the prothane replacement bushings ready and extra grease packs ready needed (under $10 from energysuspensionparts).

The inner diameters are different, so the daizen bushings that come with daizen sways are not interchangeable with bushings for stock swaybars.

That being said, the daizen bushings were not worn or degraded, neither was the bar, just dried out and need of grease. They are grooved, so should hold the grease. Excessively regreased with 1.5tubes of grease each and squeak is gone...for now...Don't know how long it'll last, but it is not an overly painful service

No need to replace poly bushings as they will virtually last a lifetime. You need to lube up those bushing every once in a while.
