Default Caliper assembly question

Question: I assembled my pads/calipers the way I guessed it should go together. Can anyone confirm if the way it is in the photo below is correct? I can't see any other way they could go together. I'm planning on replacing the weird dual cotter key thing with 2 individual cotter keys per caliper. Thanks.

That caliper looks fine, did you put any anti squeel compound on the back of the pads?

And its not necessary to replace the guide pin with cotters, the stock ones are fine and prevent the guide from spinning.

Thanks for the reminder about anti squeal. I forgot.

The guide pin just seems like it's barely in place there.

looks to be OK....make sure the bleeder hole isn't covered with paint.....and dont forget to either cut or bend your rotor shield to allow the caliper to mount.
