Default RCA question....

Will front RCA's help out with your uca's topping out on the car if ya wanna slamming it? Thanks for the help.... Really looking for any solution to stop this other than cutting holes for the balljoints to go through....

not sure but my guess is it wont help prevent the uca from hitting it.

Negative. The purpose of RCA's is to push the lower part of the suspension down to clear more space and lower the car. UCA's sit so high DUE to how low the car is. So the fact that RCAs lower the car = less clearance for the UCA's. They'll still bottom out.

LuxuryGS3 is right. It's actually its the opposite. When you install the RCA it pushes down the LBJ, however it pushes the upper arm up because your car sits lower. Hope these diagrams help explain a little easier

it makes sense that since you are putting more space inbetween the upper and lower arms that it would actually highten the upper one closer to the inner fender, but that diagram is crazy comfusing,

Thanks everyone..... So what do you guys think is the best way to prevent the uca from hitting...... Besides not dropping the car..lol. And if I did drill the hole for the balljoints to come through where it is hitting are there any major downfalls to this.... One last question the how bad is it for the bj to be hitting can it knock anything loose break anything, anything of that nature?

why not try to get stiffer springs for the coils? and adjust the dampening to something stiffer

measure where the uca hits the strut tower and cut a hole for clearance. best option for slammed & static

Uca will be even closer to the top now. RCA is pretty much good for extending the lifespan of your lbjs and shocks
