i know that sway bars are for body roll, what exactly is the rear chasis member brace for?

to waste your money and add useless weight to the vehicle.

Some folks claim it "feels" a little better... but it certainly will not provide any measurable gain at all in performance on a street car.

I don't know if it's a must have mod. But I'm happy with my sway bar set. I felt a difference right away. I don't have a chasis brace so I can't comment on it. It does look nice though.

It doesn't go in the trunk buddy! It's the blue brace in the center. I call it a skid plate while I rub speed bumps and reflectors on the freeway!

To the op...you probably don't NEED it.
