Default Maximum Ride Height for BC Racing Coils

What is the maximum ride height I can get from BC Racing Coil?

I don't wont to go low. I just want 1" or less lower than stock.

I know it can be adjusted up and down via the lower collar.

However, the shock body is so short compare to the stock making me wonder if I can set the car at the stock height? Will I have any threads left on the lower bracket if I set it at the stock ride height?

Yes you can definitely set the car at stock height with BC coilover and you can absolutely go 1" lower than stock that is for sure.

if you search, you can prolly find a picture of the guy who got the first set of bc racing coilovers on an IS 250 AWD and he played around with it. He took pictures on max drop and max lift.

Just because you purchase coilovers doesn't mean you have to drop your car. The coilovers will work fine at stock or lower ride height. You'll be fine, plus be able to enjoy the adjustable dampening.

If you only want 1" I'd get some springs and save a ton of money. Just save your stock shocks/springs.

I got bc coilovers put on my car last month by a local shop. Before installing I told them how low I wanted the car which would be about 1"-1.5" drop, basically tried to keep it about stock sport ride height. Well when they finished they said they tried to raise it high as they could, so now the fronts are maybe less than a 1/4" from tire and backs are tucked a little over an 1" under tire. Is there something they did wrong or does that sound right?

Yeah I can do it. But I don't like to have issue such as Lower Spring and Stock Shock mismatch. I used to have lower spring paired with stock shock on my previous cars and the shock went bad very quick. The ride was getting worse and worse over time as the shocks started wearing out very quick.

I want Coilover to be able to fix the "Lexus Lean" as well as playing around with adjustable height.

I wanna go lower bit by bit up to a point where the car is not practicle to drive then I will raise it up a bit and stay there.

What I afraid is the shock body(the threaded area) will be too short to raise the car to near stock ride height.

They definitely installed them wrong... You should definitely be able to ride w/o tucking tire...

Exactly what I am afraid to hear.

Please make sure that the shop knows the proper way to adjust the ride height...

Thanks for the help and SCWB sorry for writing my question on your thread, I didn't even think about that till now. I might just have to see if another shop can adjust them or might as well do it myself.

Sounds to me like they tried adjusting the hight by the coils instead of the lower perch.
