I just picked up a caliper and caliper bracket from lexus for $150.00, it was a remanufactured unit. It came with new clips and springs, you should start there.

(I'm in Canada, don't know if it will be there same there)

Rethread kits:

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...u=00942275000P

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....&group_ID=1148

Lowe's/Home depot sell the kits too but im not sure if its SAE or metric, etc. so don't quote me on that.

How to rethread: http://www.rs25.com/forums/f105/t641...d-threads.html

*If you rethread to a bigger size you need to make sure your bolt is the right size to accomodate the larger hole/fit it*

ck snap on, mac tools, matco tools, craftsman tools, if they have that size to rethread. it cleans the threads so the bolt will go in.. not to sure if they have that size.. good luck.

Doesn't clean the thread. It removes the aluminum/metal that has been 'flattened' and creates the specified groove for your bolt. So in essence you're either creating new grooves for your bolt, and shaving off some metal/aluminum or creating a new hole with new grooves and removing alot of metal.
